WASHINGTON, D.C., July 9—The government of Chile has retained Fleishman-Hillard to raise awareness of and build support for a Chile-U.S. free trade agreement.

The F-H team will be led by Rory Davenport, a senior VP who manages the international and political affairs group; Jim Mulhern, a senior VP who specializes in agricultural trade policy; and Jon Huenemann, a VP at FH/GPC and former assistant U.S. trade representative, who was previously the chief negotiator managing Chile’s bid to accede to the North American Free Trade Agreement.

FTA negotiations between Chile and the United States have intensified in recent months. Thus far, the United States has implemented free trade agreements with only three trading partners—Israel, Canada and Mexico.
