NEW YORK — Finn Partners has acquired New York firm Missy Farren & Associates (MFA) — the agency’s second bid this year to expand its global tourism practice.

Missy Farren, founder and CEO of her eponymous firm, will serve as a managing partner at Finn. Farren’s 20-person operation will drop its own name and move into Finn Partners' New York office next year.

The acquisition will be a boost to Finn Partners' consumer and travel client roster, and add sports marketing and lifestyle clients to the agency’s business. MFA has worked with brands including Westin Hotels & Resorts, US Ski & Snowboard, Peet’s Coffee, Confluence Outdoor, Mountain Collective, Cannondale and Schwinn.

The move comes less than a year after Finn Partners boosted its European travel practice by buying Brighter Group, the London PR and marketing firm that specializes in the sector.

“Today’s announcement is another proof point of our commitment to continue expanding our consumer and travel groups nationally and globally as was demonstrated by our acquisition earlier this year of The Brighter Group, a travel and tourism specialty firm in London,” founding partner Peter Finn said. “We’re also excited to collaborate with the MFA team to grow clients in the areas of sports and wellness, two dynamic and fast-growing sectors.”
