MILAN--Fleishman-Hillard has appointed Marco Dell’Era as general manager in Italy, following the departure of Gita Angeli after 14 years with the firm.

Before joining Fleishman-Hillard from his position as marketing and PR director at Art Living World, Dell'Era was head of corporate communications at Nike Italy, marketing director at Dsquared2 and marketing and PR director of Lycos Italy.

Dell’Era has also worked at Barabino & Partners and Edelman.

“Marco is a highly respected public relations practitioner and marketer,” said Dave Senay, president and CEO of Fleishman-Hillard. “His career at some of the top agencies and brands speaks for itself, and his combination of experience and personality will help us achieve our objective of becoming the world’s most complete communications firm.”

“I feel that this is a great time to be returning to the agency business,” added Dell’Era. “I am impressed with the sheer breadth of work being undertaken by Fleishman-Hillard and its vision of a much more integrated future. The firm has been doing some truly groundbreaking work in the digital space in Italy, and I look forward to building on that success.”
