LONDON – FleishmanHillard Fishburn has hired Steve Hickson as creative director, as the latest move to strengthen its Creative Studio.

Hickson joins FHF from international corporate comms agency MerchantCantos, where he has been Creative Director since 2014. In his new role, he is responsible for creative work produced for the agency’s clients, reporting to head of Creative Studio and partner, Christopher Onderstall.

At MerchantCantos, Hickson built a creative team whose clients included Swiss Re, Puma Energy, ServiceMaster, Merck and William Hill.

He said: “I’m really looking forward to joining the team and getting stuck in. The agency has big plans for 2020, from developing and growing the creative team to raising the standard of creativity to exceptional new highs for all its clients, it’s an exciting time to be joining the business.”

Onderstall added: “We’re delighted Steve has joined our studio. We pride ourselves on delivering exceptional thumb-stopping, award-winning content for all our clients and with Steve’s experience and expertise we can only continue to innovate and improve.”

Hickson’s appointment follows the recent hire of Sally Eggeling to the studio as director, overseeing reporting communications for the practice, and the promotions of Marc Hoyler to head of moving image and Richard Costa to director.
