NEW YORK—Scott Hoeflich, a former chief of staff and communications director for Senator Arlen Specter, is joining RLM Finsbury as a senior vice president. He will be based in the firm’s Washington, DC, office where he will focus primarily on assignments at the intersection of strategic communications and public affairs.

Hoeflich will work closely with RLM Finsbury partners Stephen Labaton, aformer New York Times journalist, and Eric Eve, a veteran public policy strategist.

Hoeflich spent the majority of his career with Senator Specter’s office, starting as an intern and progressing through a series of positions, including communications director, to become chief of staff. He also oversaw efforts involving the Senator’s role as chairman and ranking member of the senate judiciary committee and of the appropriations subcommittee that oversees all federal spending on health care and education.

Following his tenure with Senator Specter, Hoeflich joined IKON where he worked on a range of public affairs and communications projects for companies in the pharmaceutical and transportation sectors.
