WASHINGTON, DC— Corporate communications consultancy Brunswick Group has added Stephen Power, an award-winning journalist and frequent television and radio contributor with a deep knowledge of US energy policy as a director in the firm's Washington, DC, office

In addition, Tripp Kyle has joined as a partner in its New York office. Kyle joins from Finsbury Group, where he played a role in building the firm’s New York office and its alternative investment management practice.

Power joins Brunswick from The Wall Street Journal, where he worked as a reporter for 11 years, most recently covering energy policy and before that the automotive sector. At Brunswick, he will use his sector expertise to provide strategic recommendations and counsel to existing and future clients.

Kyle will focus on advising clients in the financial services sector, including asset management and alternative investment companies, such as hedge funds, real estate investment and private equity firms. He will also provide counsel to corporate and investment management clients on shareholder activism and corporate governance campaigns, as well as mergers and acquisitions, restructurings, and special situations.

Kyle worked for Credit Suisse First Boston and Citigroup Smith Barney prior to joining Finsbury.
