OSLO—Gambit Hill+Knowlton Strategies has named Gaute Engbakk as CEO in Norway.

Engbakk succeeds Ole Tom Nomeland, who has left the firm after serving as CEO since 2011. Prior to that, Norway was led by Lars Erik Grønntun, now the network's EMEA chairman and CEO.

Engbakk joins from Scandinavian branding and digital agency Creuna, where he was CEO for the past four years. His career also includes more than a decade with Accenture.

“Gaute is an accomplished leader and a top executive with extensive experience from the management consulting, communications and media worlds,” said Grønntun.
