KARACHI—GolinHarris has launched in Pakistan via a partnership with sister agency Lowe & Rauf.

Based in Karachi, GolinHarris Pakistan will focus on working for several Unilever brands. The agency starts with a team of five, led by country head and former Unilever executive Fareshteh Aslam.

“PR as a standalone discipline is evolving rapidly here in Pakistan and this is being fuelled by the realization that its real power comes when you integrate it as part of your marketing campaigns," said Lowe & Rauf CEO Khalid Rauf. "This is what is so exciting about our partnership with GolinHarris and is what we believe gives us a unique proposition in the market.”

GolinHarris becomes one of the first international PR agencies to launch a branded presence in Pakistan, drawn by the country's booming FMCG market. The Pakistan office will deploy Golin's g4 structure of strategists, creators, connectors and catalysts.

“Pakistan is an extremely vibrant and exciting market and to have such a great partnership with Lowe & Rauf means that we can draw upon all their creative and strategic expertise to bring something new and fresh to businesses here,” added Jonathan Hughes, international president for GolinHarris.

The move follows recent partnerships by GolinHarris in China and India, as the firm seeks to expand its Asia-Pacific capabilities.
