SINGAPORE--GolinHarris has hired former senior Unilever digital executive Simon Ruparelia to lead its digital team in Asia-Pacific.

Ruparelia spent almost a decade at Unilever, most recently as global programme planner of digital marketing, responsible for driving digital activities and initiatives across the FMCG giant's global brands.

His arrival marks GH’s first Asia-Pacific hire under its new g4 model, which comprehensively reorganised the agency into a new structure.

Unilever is one of GH’s key global clients. “The experience I have had at Unilever working on global and local brands means I can help accelerate the development of Golin’s digital capabilities in the region,” said Ruparelia.

Based initially in Singapore, Ruparelia will lead and build the Asia-Pacific team, working with Jeff Beringer, leader of the agency’s global digital practice.
