HOUSTON, TX — Good Technology CCO Karen Reynolds is moving into a VP-level global communications role at enterprise IT company BMC Software.

Reynolds confirmed that she joins the team on August 31, noting she's "excited to get in there and join their journey." It is understood that she will report into CMO Nick Utton. Reynolds has been at Good Technology since 2013 and, before that, had a brief stint as VP for Eastwick. She's also worked at HP, Azul Systems and Autodesk.

Earlier this year, BMC Software tapped Eastwick to lead its PR efforts in the US following a marketing shakeup last year. Last July, the company's VP of communications Mark Stouse exited the company along with BMC's CMO Kim DeCarlis.

Eric DeRitis replaced Stouse as head of communications, but has since joined Seagate. Meanwhile, former Etrade Financial CMO Nick Utton joined as interim CMO in July 2014 and launched the BMC's first rebrand since the company went private in 2013. He took over as CMO in December, reporting into Paul Appleby, EVP of worldwide sales and marketing.

*A previous version of this article mentioned Reynolds would be CCO based on information from BMC Software. A spokesperson for the company sent a follow-up clarifying that Reynolds would be VP head of corporate communications.
