WASHINGTON, DC—Public affairs strategist Ed Gillespie, a veteran of the George W Bush White House, has returned to Brunswick Group as senior counselor, supporting the the firm's corporate reputation, crisis and public affairs practices while also providing counsel on digital communications campaign strategies and corporate data and security.

He rejoins Brunswick after a 2014 campaign for the US Senate in Virginia and will divide his time between Brunswick and his own firm, Ed Gillespie Strategies, which he formed in 2009.

Earlier in his career, Gillespie founded two public affairs firms: Quinn Gillespie & Associates (now QGA) and Policy Impact Communications. 

He served in the White House as Counselor to President George W. Bush; on Capitol Hill as an aide to House Majority Leader Dick Armey; and as chairman of the Republican National Committee in the 2004 election cycle.
