SAN FRANCISCO—Burson-Marsteller has appointed Sabrina Guttman as deputy chair of the US technology practice. Guttman, who rejoins the practice after four years, will provide strategic counsel to US-based technology clients and help grow the practice. She will be based in San Francisco and report to us technology practice chair Jim Goldman.

Prior to rejoining Burson-Marsteller, she was a senior vice president and general manager at Axicom US, the global technology PR subsidiary of Cohn & Wolfe, where she served as a senior strategic counselor for Dell’s vice president of global communication, and she was responsible for the client’s positioning and strategic media relations activities.

Prior to joining Axicom, she was vice president of corporate communications at Business Objects, where she spearheaded the company’s global public relations during its acquisition by SAP. Earlier in her career, Guttman managed global communications for Sun Microsystems and also worked at Alexander Ogilvy Public Relations. She started her communications career at IBM EMEA.

Her client experience includes work with companies including Dell, HP, IBM, SAP and Sun Microsystems.
