LONDON — H+K Strategies has appointed Simon Shaw to the new post of global chief creative strategy and innovation officer, as the latest move in its ongoing development of a new global structure.

Shaw joined the agency in 2014 as chief creative officer in its Centre of Creative Strategy in London, working with clients including Huawei, Coca Cola and Envision. He was previously executive creative director and head of content at Good Relations and creative director and global brand director at Exposure.

The promotion follows other recent appointments to key global roles since H+K’s announcement of a new global structure, including global co-presidents Richard Millar and Lars Erik Grønntun; Sam Lythgoe to drive marketing and business development; Kate Augustine to lead HR and talent, and Vikki Willimott to head content and publishing. Simon Whitehead was promoted to UK CEO last November.

Millar said: “Simon is a brilliant creative strategist. He is obsessed with the delivery of truly excellent, award winning client work. Having known him for over a decade, and worked with him for five years, I believe that the impact he will bring on a global stage will be transformative for our business and for our clients.”

Shaw added: “In today’s ever-changing world we need to constantly change the way we engage our clients’ public. Our creativity and innovative thinking is essential to achieve this. I look forward to working with my H+K colleagues around the world to develop transformative campaigns that deliver maximum impact for our clients.”
