SINGAPORE--Hill + Knowlton Strategies has promoted Jamie Morse to Singapore MD, following Baey Yam Keng's decision last year to focus on his political career.

Morse steps up after previously serving as deputy MD at H+K Malaysia. He joined the firm's Qatar office as an account director in 2009.

Previous Singapore MD Baey moved to a senior advisory role at the firm in late 2012, in order to focus on his constituency work as a Member of Parliament. Baey has been an elected representative in Singapore's parliament since 2006.

“Jamie is an exemplary international public relations professional and will be a strong in-country representative for Hill+Knowlton Strategies,” said John Morgan, president and CEO of H+K Asia. “He’s as adept at managing sophisticated client relationships across diverse sectors as he is managing country operations to drive performance, develop staff and better serve clients."

H+K Strategies has also promoted Chip Ng to deputy managing director of Singapore as well as regional director of financial communications for Southeast Asia. Ng, who held the interim MD role since Baey's departure, joined the firm from Ruder Finn in 2011.
