STOCKHOLM—Jenny Åstrøm has rejoined H+K Strategies to become CEO of the firm's Swedish operation.

Åstrøm spent a year at H+K in 2013, before moving to Telenor where she served as communication manager and acting director of communication and CSR. Her career also includes lengthy stints at Intellecta Corporate and JG Gruppen.

H+K's CEO role in Sweden has been occupied by senior advisor Mikael Törnwall on an interim basis since the departure of Mats Fogelberg at the end of last year.

"Her personal drive and proven track record will be invaluable to our clients," said Henrik Halvorsen, chairman of H+K Sweden and SVP of H+K EMEA. "Over the last few years we have been busy re-developing our strategic communication offering and the new CEO will be instrumental in pushing this forward."

"A key priority will be deeper integration between our H+K global network and our local offering," added Åstrøm, who takes charge in January 2016. "I aim to combine the very best of Swedish thinking in an international framework, utilizing our international expertise to bring outstanding results to existing and future clients."
