BEIJING —Hill+Knowlton Strategies has appointed QC Liang to the role of CEO in China, reporting to Ye Yu, the firm's Asia-Pacific EVP and China chairman.

Liang arrives from TCL Corporation in Shenzhen where he was assistant president and GM of branding since 2007. Liang was also the MD of TCL’s media and entertainment business, and secretary general of TCL’s charity foundation. He began his career at the China International Public Relations Association.

"QC Liang’s appointment comes at an important time for Hill+Knowlton Strategies as we expand our service portfolio for Chinese companies growing their brands globally," said H+K Strategies global chairman and CEO Jack Martin. "QC’s experience combined with Ye Yu’s extensive knowledge of our global network positions us strongly to bring the best solutions to Chinese brands."

Last year, H+K strengthened its senior team in China by hiring four new executives, including two deputy managing directors, in a bid to step up integration across digital and technology.
