SINGAPORE — H+K Strategies Singapore has named Matthew Briant as its new MD, following the departure of Singapore/Malaysia head Michelle Tham earlier this year.

Briant spent four years as head of digital at the Walt Disney Company APAC, where he helped build the digital practice up from one person to a dedicated team of 30. Prior to that, Briant was director of mobile at Dentsu Aegis Network Asia-Pacific.

“Coming from a mixed and diverse background within media companies, agencies and brands, I know and have empathy for all parties, which gives me confidence in our ability to adapt strategies to each of our clients,” said Briant. “Data and insights have played a key role in helping me to understand consumer behavior throughout my career, and will enable us to create current newsworthy content that tells a story across all channels.”

Tham's departure followed a restructuring of H+K Strategies, with the Asia 'cluster' and Greater China each now reporting separately to global presidents Lars-Erik Grønntun and Richard Millar.

“Matthew brings the perfect balance of agency and client experience. H+K Singapore is a strategic hub for multinational brands, and Matthew is a great asset to lead our roster of clients and drive transformation, as well as providing communication solutions to our corporate and government sectors," said HS Chung, who now leads H+K's Asia cluster of markets, including Korea and Southeast Asia.
