WASHINGTON, DC—General Motors has added Heather Rosenker as director, public policy and government relations communications.

Rosenker will function as chief spokesperson and communications counselor on public policy, federal and state regulatory issues and activities especially in the areas of energy, environment, safety and trade. She will provide strategic and executive communications guidance to corporate staffs and support grassroots and advocacy efforts in key state and federal markets.

Roseneker previously served as senior vice president at Levick Strategic Communications and at Fleishman-Hillard in Washington, DC. While at Fleishman-Hillard she managed government contracts including the Department of Homeland Security, as well as communications, marketing and public affairs programs.

Prior to joining Fleishman-Hillard in 2003, Roseneker held director positions at the Transportation Security Administration, Internal Revenue Service, Federal Advisory Commission on Electronic Commerce, and The White House
