NEW YORK — Communications industry vet Helen Apostolidis has joined Huntsworth as the holding group’s chief talent officer.

In her new role, Apostolidis will lead talent acquisition and retention across Huntsworth’s agencies. She joins from WPP’s Red Fuse Communications, where she spent nearly 12 years overseeing the agency’s global talent recruitment and retention efforts. Before that, she was Publicis Groupe’s senior VP, global human resources and development director.

Apostolidis also joins Huntsworth at a pivotal time for the group, which is in midst of building out its healthcare division, while its communications revenues have been on a decline. Huntsworth has two distinct areas of focus: healthcare, which is made up of medical, marketing and immersive divisions; and communications.

During the last year or so, Huntsworth acquired several healthcare marketing firms — Kyne, CC, AboveNation Media, Giant Creative Strategy and Navience Healthcare Solutions.

Apostolidis will be based in New York, reporting to CFO Neil Jones. She replaces Kate Mount, who left the company in April and is now Cascade Financial’s head of human resources.
