SINGAPORE—Global nutrition company Herbalife has tapped Tod Gimbel to lead government affairs in Asia-Pacific.

Gimbel, who took on the position of VP of Asia-Pacific government affairs at the start of this month, joins Herbalife from public policy firm Landmark Asia, where he has been MD since 2013.

Gimbel returns to the client side after previously holding senior Asia-Pacific corporate affairs roles at Citi, Levi Strauss and Kraft Foods. Before moving to Asia in 2006, Gimbel worked at Altria.

His arrival at Herbalife comes after the nutrition company expanded its global corporate affairs function earlier this year in Los Angeles. Ric Hobby relocated from Australia to become SVP global government relations; Megan Jordan was named SVP for global corporate communications; and Randall Popelka appointed VP of government and industry affairs..

Gimbel, who remains based in Singapore, will be responsible for the strategic direction of Herbalife's government affairs function across Asia-Pacific excluding China.
