HONG KONG--Hill + Knowlton has named former GolinHarris MD John Morgan as chief operating officer for Asia.

Morgan departed his role as GolinHarris Greater China MD last month, after 15 years with the Interpublic Group firm. At H+K, he also assumes the role of Hong Kong MD, reporting to Asia president and CEO James Heimowitz.

The combination of experience he has in driving business growth, building strong client relationships and creating solid brand reputation in the market will be instrumental as we further invest in and grow our network across Asia,” said Heimowitz in a statement.

Morgan’s client experience has included Asian conglomerates Jardine Matheson, Li & Fung and VTech; multinationals Dow Chemical, Cisco and DHL; consumer brands McDonald’s, Starbucks, Marriott and Discovery Channel; and government bodies West Kowloon Cultural District and Airport Authority Hong Kong.

“As the newest member of the senior management team in Asia, I’m looking forward to working with our leadership and staff to build further momentum for our growing business," said Morgan.

Morgan was succeeded at GolinHarris by Jeremy Walker.
