LONDON—Hill+Knowlton Strategies has named Simon Shaw as chief creative officer, following the recent elevation of UK chief Richard Millar to global chair of creative strategy.

Shaw joins from Good Relations where he was executive creative director and head of content. Prior to joining the UK firm one year ago, Shaw spent eight years at Exposure.

Shaw is also the first external appointment to H+K’s new centre of creative excellence in London, chaired by Millar, which will house the firm's creative talents from around the globe.

Shaw was a significant presence at Exposure, developing the firm's 3D brand experience offering before becoming both creative director and global brand director. He also served as a Cannes Lions PR judge alongside Millar in 2011.

“Simon is an excellent creative strategist with extensive experience in creating brand narratives in an innovative and impactful way," said Millar. "I can’t wait for him to join H+K in June and know that his creative insight and counsel will be a valuable asset to both H+K and our clients.”
