JOHANNESBURG — Hill+Knowlton Strategies has promoted South Africa managing director Roz Thomas to the role of CEO for Southern Africa, with executive director Jennifer Leppington-Clark promoted to the role of MD.

Thomas had been MD for the past 10 years. Sconaid McGeachin, CEO of H+K Africa, said that in her new role, Thomas would would focus on “bigger strategic opportunities in South Africa and surrounding markets which will deliver additional value to our clients and by extension, the business of H+K in South Africa.”

Thomas said: “For a while now, I have wanted to play a more active role in those projects aimed at directly supporting the positive changes we are all starting to see in our country, and also in the developments of fascinating new areas of business linked to behavioural science and empowering purpose driven organisations. As part of my new role I will be developing and refining some of these cutting-edge methodologies and adapting them for use with our clients in Southern Africa.
