LONDON—Huntsworth has named former Great Britain Olympic boxing chief Derek Mapp as chairman, succeeding Lord Myners who exited after just six months in the role.

Mapp, who founded the Tom Cobleigh pub chain and Leapfrog Nurseries, becomes a non-executive director and board chairman at Huntsworth, the PR holding group that is still searching for Lord Chadlington's successor as CEO.

Mapp was also chairman of the British Amateur Boxing Association, before being voted out last year.

He also currently holds non-executive chairman roles at FTSE 250 media company Informa and Salmon Developments. In addition, he is executive chairman of Imagesound.

"We have completed our search and we are delighted that such a strong candidate as Derek has agreed to lead the Huntsworth board as chairman and we look forward to working with him as we take the business forward," said Huntsworth non-executive director Andy Boland.
