SAN BRUNO — Allison+Partners has launched a new communications consultancy, called Headstand, to handle the firm’s conflict accounts. The consultancy has been operating for the past six months and working with clients including SAP North America, NerdWallet, SideChef, Trov and Xiaomi.

NEW YORK — GCI Health has expanded into Germany by absorbing the healthcare division of fellow WPP agency Hering Schuppener. Hering Schuppener Healthcare will become part of GCI Health on Sept. 1, increasing GCI Health’s global footprint and allowing the company to tap into Hering Schuppener Healthcare’s expertise, local strength in Germany and presence in continental Europe. The move will add 30 additional healthcare specialists to GCI Health (CEO Wendy Lund, pictured).

NEW YORK — Edelman has struck a partnership with Cision aimed at boosting the agency’s targeting ability through exclusive access to some of the earned media software and services company’s data. Under the partnership, Edelman will be able to leverage ID data, as well as 5,000+ demographic and business data points, that aren’t available to other Cision clients, giving the firm an edge on identifying and reaching target audiences. Specifically, the deal enables Edelman to improve its earned channel planning and bolster its advocacy and sales growth attribution services, the agency said.
