SYDNEY — Polkadot Communications founder Dionne Taylor (pictured) has launched Story Match, a new app that aims to help brands better interact with the media, while eliminating the need for a press release. Journalists create a profile based on their interests and location, which brands can then map against when they upload their pitch. Journalists swipe left to dismiss the pitch or right to open up an immediate chat with the relevant brand. "It’s time to shake things up," said Taylor. "Our industry isn’t moving fast enough with technology and I want to make a change. I want journalists to get to the story quicker and brands to get noticed. I’ve seen first hand what effect media coverage can have on a business and I believe this should be accessible to all brands, no matter what their size or budget."
