BOSTON — Racepoint Global has announced its expansion with the opening of a new office in Raleigh, NC. The office will be led by Stephanie Styons, the firm's newest senior vice president. Styons is responsible for overseeing all client work conducted out of the office, as well as managing staff and new business growth. The office is located in Research Triangle Park, an area that is home to many innovative technology and healthcare brands. 

NEW YORK — Former Hotwire member Rebecca Honeyman and comms agency practitioner Greg Mondshein have launched SourceCode Communications, an agency catering to high-growth technology businesses. The agency will provide growth marketing and comms solutions as well as brand credibility campaigns by combining technology and integrated marketing solutions. SourceCode has offices in Manhattan's NoMad area and in Brooklyn. 

NEW YORK — Theatrical publicist Andy Snyder has launched Thinkwell NYC, an independent agency for hire that specializes in the creation of publicity, marketing and advertising copy, content and other written materials. Within the theatrical PR space, Thinkwell will work in an executive partnership with Broadway and live events PR agency DKC/O&M, generating a broad array of written materials for Rick Miramontez's publicity firm and its clients. Thinkwell will offer a range of services, including the drafting of press releases, biographies, public statements, advertising copy, scrips, tagline, speechwriting, and ghostwriting. 

SAN DIEGO — BAM Communications has announced its expansion to New York City with the opening of its Midtown office, which will be led by Gabie Kur, general manager. Kur will be responsible for driving BAM's growth on the East Coast, while leading strategy for several of its key accounts. The office's services include PR strategy and planning, media relations and messaging. The firm also recently unveiled a rebrand design aiming to reflect the agency's plans to soon expand its services. 

GAINESVILLE — APCO Worldwide has partnered with the University of Florida College of Journalism and Communications to connect students in the college's online master's degree program in PR and comms management with APCO execs. The execs will help guide students with public relations strategies. The program allows to students to complete their graduate degree online over the course of a two-year period and is comprised of curriculum guided by an advisory council of top industry experts and is taught by industry professionals. 

ATLANTA — Laura Borgstede of marketing and comms agency Calysto Communications has announced plans to assemble an IoT Though Leadership Board, with collaboration from IoT influences James Brehm of James Brehm & Associations, Carl Ford of Crossfire Media, Jim Morrish of Machine Research and John Feland of Argus Insights. The board's mission will be to provide IoT education, communicate IoT's economic impact, to mainstream IoT, and to frame the internal industry agenda on IoT. The board plans to meet at least twice each year for a C-level roundtable.
