NEW YORK—Ogilvy Public Relations has promoted Jennifer Risi, most recently executive vice president, Ogilvy Media Influence and director, content creation, to managing director, Ogilvy Media Influence and head of North American media relations.

In her new role, Risi will work closely with all North American office heads to enhance Ogilvy's media network and the resources available to clients at the local and national levels. Risi will continue to lead a specialist group providing high-level global media counsel and strategic direction to some of Ogilvy's largest national and global clients.

Prior to joining Ogilvy PR in 2011, Risi spent 12 years at Weber Shandwick, most recently as an executive vice president. She co-founded the agency's global strategic media group, establishing a worldwide network of media resources and created Voiceboxx, a platform for securing global, national and regional speaking opportunities.
