PALO ALTO, CA — Broadcom's Karen Kahn is now CCO at the new HP which completed its split from the combined Hewlett-Packard entity last month.

Kahn is CCO and global head of communications reporting into CMO Antonio Lucio. The new HP was formed on November 1 and includes its PC/laptop and printers business. Meanwhile, the enterprise division is now part of HP Enterprise led by Meg Whitman (Henry Gomez is the CMO/CCO of HPE).

Prior to the split, HP had undergone several shifts in its PR activities as budgets declined over several years, alongside major restructuring of the former company's operations. The big shift before the split was  moving all of its work to Omnicom agencies in 2014.

"I have no plans to make any immediate changes," Kahn said when asked about HP's agency portfolio. "[Porter Novelli] has a long history with HP and is a strong agency partner. We have a great deal to do and need to put our heads down and drive some incredible energy behind our brand strategy."
