NEW YORK — Finn Partners has promoted Kristie Kuhl to health practice managing partner, a position that comes with oversight of the firm’s New York and Chicago health and pharma groups.

The promotion reflects Kuhl’s contribution during her tenure as senior partner to the growth of the agency's health practice and her leadership style, Finn Partners said. She reports to global health practice managing partner Gil Bashe.

Kuhl joined Finn Partners in 2015 after having served as an executive VP at both Cohn & Wolfe and Makovsky.  During her tenure at the agencies, she brought her knowledge of patient advocacy and the US reimbursement system to major brand initiatives.

Kuhl’s elevation comes amidst larger changes at Finn Partners, fueled in a large part by the agency’s recent buying spree.

Last week, the firm announced its acquisition of Moorgate Communications, a London-based firm specializing in serving the financial services sector.  Moorgate founder and CEO Robert Kelsey will stay on as managing partner, financial services, Finn Partners EMEA.

The acquisition has created Finn Partners’ fourth global practice, the expansion of which is among the major goals of its recent spate of agency purchases.

Earlier this month, Finn announced its acquisition of Boston agency Small Army, expanding its capabilities in sectors including CSR, health, tech, travel and financial services. In January, the firm announced its acquisition of Hong Kong travel firm CatchOn, a 30-person operation with an operation in Shanghai as well as Hong Kong.

In 2018, Finn Partners acquired Missy Farren Associates, a New York firm with a focus on outdoor sports and adventure, and Brighter Group, the London PR and marketing firm that specializes in the travel sector.
