SINGAPORE — State-owned investment company Temasek Holdings has appointed Lena Goh as director of its public affairs team.
Goh will take on her new position later this year after she fulfills her current role as chief marketing and communications officer at Government Technology Agency (GovTech).
"I'm very pleased to confirm Lena's appointment as a senior member of our public affairs team, and will be delighted to welcome her when she starts in a few months time," said Stephen Forshaw, managing director, strategic and public affairs, Temasek.
The holding company manages a portfolio of approximately $242 billion, focused primarily on Asia. Its portfolio includes high profile companies such as Singtel, Bank of China, PT Bank Danamon, and China Construction Bank.
In her position at GovTech, Goh has spent more than three years focusing on marketing the digital transformation journey of the government's digital services. She was also tasked with managing the communications and community engagement teams and providing senior counsel to the GovTech leadership team, and she also held a seat on the its senior leadership team.
Prior to that, Goh spent more than a year as managing director at Maxus Singapore. There, she reported to Singapore group CEO John Thurlow and then Maxus APAC CEO Neil Stewart. Before that, she spent nearly five years at Microsoft as Asia communications lead, corporate communications.
Forshaw also formerly worked at Microsoft as Asia-Pacific corporate communications director. He moved to Temasek in 2011 to succeed Myrna Thomas as MD of corporate affairs.
