MADRID — Lenovo has handed the PR account for its PC and smart devices business in Spain to Hill+Knowlton Strategies after a competitive pitch.

David Vindel, the agency’s EMEA practice leader for technology, said: “Lenovo is a world leader in PCs and smart devices and we are excited to have won the account, firmly believing we are the right strategic partner to help them communicate the next phase of their growth.”

The previous incumbent was Canela, part of the independent Brands2Life global network, which still works with Lenovo on its Motorola business in Spain.

Canela founder Deborah Gray told the Holmes Report: “Canela enjoyed five fantastic years as Lenovo’s communication partner in Spain. We had some great experiences with them and grew lots as an agency during our time together. We wish them the best of luck with their new agency.”
