READING: UK tech company Logica is expected to select an agency to lead its pan-European PR business, after narrowing its search to a final round shortlist.

It is understood that the brief, covering six European markets, is worth approximately $750,000. Bite Communications, the UK incumbent, and Lewis PR are understood to be in the fray, following a pitch that has also included at least two other agencies.

The assignment covers Logica’s European PR activities across the UK, France, Germany, Netherlands, Sweden and Finland. Logica head of global PR Louise Fisk confirmed that the company is seeking a B2B agency for Europe.

The development follows the IT and business services company’s decision to rebrand earlier this year, using the new tagline ‘Be Brilliant Together.’ One source involved in the review said that Logica is aiming to better compete with key rivals such as Accenture and CapGemini.

Bite won the UK business in mid-2009, after incumbent Trimedia declined to repitch.
