LONDON—Mary-Jane Elliott, who established and led the international healthcare team at UK-based financial specialist M:Communications, has launched Consilium Strategic Communications, a dedicated strategic communications advisor for the healthcare sector that will have offices in the UK and Asia.

The team will work with public and private healthcare companies internationally across the pharma, biotech, medical technology and healthcare services sectors, and will offer financial communications, cross-border transactional support, reputation management and crisis communications, as well as guidance on corporate and social responsibility strategies.

Elliott, who previously worked in R&D and corporate communications at PowderJect Pharmaceuticals, will lead the firm with fellow co-founder Amber Bielecka, also most recently with M and before that with Citigate Dewe Rogerson. They will be joined in August by Emma Thompson, currently an account director at AKA Asia, who will lead the firm’s operations in Singapore.
