LONDON—British shoe brand Clarks has appointed MHP to manage its financial and corporate communications and advise on corporate social responsibility strategy.

The firm has worked with Clarks since Hogarth, one of MHP’s predecessor consultancies, was appointed in 2001 to support the company’s financial communications, and in 2011 the brief was expanded to include investor communications, CSR, and corporate reputation work. MHP is now providing NGO engagement support and advice on key CSR issues

MHP will report to Clarks’ CEO Melissa Potter and procurement and social responsibility manager Matthew Turner.

The MHP team includes Andrew Jaques, chief executive, financial and investor communications; Paul Baverstock, managing director corporate reputation; and Robert Nuttall, managing director, corporate responsibility and sustainability.

Additionally, MHP has been selected to work with Tomorrow’s Company and a stewardship working party of leading institutional investors consisting seeking to improve the quality of governance and the way shareholders use their share ownership to interact with company boards in the UK. The MHP team is led by Nick Denton, managing director.
