WASHINGTON, DC—FTI Consulting has appointed creative engagement and digital communications specialist Mitzi Emrich as a managing director in the firm’s strategic communications practice.
Emrich will work across FTI Consulting practices and industry solutions groups to develop, integrate and strengthen the firm’s social media offerings. She also will work with existing clients on social media programs.
Emrich joins FTI Consulting from Edelman Public Relations, where she was senior vice president and group head in the firm’s digital practice since 2008. She managed a team of digital specialists focused on social business strategy, influencer engagement, digital advertising, issues management and content creation on behalf of clients in the energy, health and transportation sectors.
She also has held positions with The Saint Consulting Group, the Sierra Club and the American Counsel for an Energy-Efficient Economy.
