LONDON—US mobile technology company InterDigital has handed international PR duties to CCgroup, after previously working with Lewis PR.

CCgroup secures the business, which is based in the UK, without a pitch. The firm is charged with helping to build InterDigital's global repuation for innovation, via thought leadership content that focuses on the company's research efforts and solutions.

Since 2000, InterDigital has spent close to $1bn on technology research and development, and is now focused on such areas as Internet of Things, the path to 5G technology and the significance of maintaining clear commitment to open standards.

Founded in 1972, InterDigital develops wireless technologies for mobile devices, networks and services.
