LONDON — MSL has appointed Ruder Finn’s head of healthcare, Katy Compton-Bishop, as senior director in its UK healthcare team.

Compton-Bishop (pictured) has led large-scale campaigns for clients including UCB, GSK and Novartis, in areas such as strategic communications, multi-stakeholder engagement and patient activation.

She said: “I am delighted to be joining the healthcare team at MSL. The breadth of expertise across the agency, combined with the ability to truly deliver integrated communications campaigns, makes MSL ideally placed to address a diverse and evolving communications landscape. I look forward to contributing to the company’s continued success.”

The latest appointment follows the arrival of Alison Dunlop as MSL’s managing director of health in July 2018 – previously a healthcare lead at Reynolds-MacKenzie, Edelman and Weber Shandwick – to develop the healthcare team and business.

Dunlop said: “Katy’s extensive experience will be invaluable to us as we continue to build our healthcare practice based on an integrated approach to communications. Her strategic capabilities in healthcare will enable us to strengthen and extend our expertise in developing patient engagement strategies for clients.”
