PARIS—MSLGroup chief communications officer Trudi Harris is to launch a new consultancy after leaving the agency at the end of this month.

Harris, who has spent six years with MSLGroup, brings a 15-year association with Publicis Groupe to a close, having previously spent almost a decade overseeing marketing and communications for Leo Burnett in Asia and Europe.

Her new firm — Be.known — will aim to make use of her experience by focusing on supporting agencies in the media, marketing and advertising industries.

"It felt like time to strike out on my own, given the solid bank of experience I've now got behind me after 15 years at Publicis Groupe, and the communications challenges and opportunities that small- and medium-sized marcoms agencies are facing," Harris told the Holmes Report.

Harris added that Be.known will help "firms who are trying to create some level of distinction in the market place," in terms of both strategic counsel and day-to-day support.

Harris' duties at MSLGroup will pass to marketing and corporate communications director Mike Echter, who is based in New York.
