SAO PAOLO--MSLGroup has named Josh Shapiro as VP and director of market development and client engagement for Latin America.

Shapiro relocates from Asia to Sao Paolo, where he will report to Paulo Andreoli, who recently took on the role of  chairman at MSLGroup Latin America.

Shapiro spent the last five years serving in regional agency leadership roles at MSLGroup in Shanghai, Beijing and Singapore, overseeing business development, agency acquisitions and integration in Greater China and India, and agency talent development.

From 2008 to 2011, he also served as regional Asia practice leader for digital and social media. In the last six years, MSLGroup Asia has grown from four offices and 50 staff to more than 30 offices and 1,600 staff today.

Shapiro will now focus on driving the development of MSLGroup's network in Latin America through a combination of acquisitions, strategic partnerships and organic growth, as well as serving as a regional partner to clients. He will also work to ensure that insights, experience, and service offerings from MSLGroup's global network are available to clients in Latin America.
