LONDON — Selbey Anderson, the new investment group building a network of boutique agencies, has acquired Flagship Consulting: its fourth acquisition since opening for business late last year.

Flagship works with clients in the financial and professional services, social purpose, technology and travel sectors. The firm was set up more than 30 years ago by Jackie Murphy and Diana Soltmann.

Under the new ownership, Flagship deputy managing director Mark Pinnes (pictured) will step up to become managing director. Murphy and Soltmann will take on consultancy roles.

"Selbey Anderson’s thoughtful approach impressed us. Their business plan is centred on helping creative agencies grow and so Diana and I felt that Flagship would be in good hands," Murphy said.

Flagship is the second PR agency Selbey Anderson has brought into the group. In April, the investment firm bought UK consultancy Greentarget, which focuses on the global financial industry.

Selbey Anderson has also acquired two other creative firms since December: Orckid, which develops digital products for companies, and B2B marketing agency Hartley-Stone.

The latest move puts Selbey Anderson two-thirds of the way toward its goal of acquiring up to six UK creative agencies yearly.
