NEW YORK—News Corporation has promoted Julie Henderson to senior vice president, communications and corporate strategy. Henderson has served as senior vice president, corporate communications and public affairs, since 2007.

In her new and expanded position, Henderson will continue to play a key role in the company’s communications and public affairs activities, while adding new responsibility for driving greater value from the media giant’s portfolio of businesses. She will collaborate closely with key business unit leaders to expand the marketing influence of News Corporation’s brands, maximize larger strategic content and distribution opportunities and “enhance the value of key franchises through emerging digital platforms.”

Henderson will report to president and chief operating officer Chase Carey in her corporate strategy capacity, and will continue to report to Teri Everett, senior vice president, corporate affairs and communications in her communications role.

She joined News Corporation in 2006 as senior vice president, corporate communications, for Fox Interactive Media.
