Holmes Report 22 Aug 2017 // 3:58PM GMT
HONG KONG—Ogilvy Public Relations is the most recognized agency in the 2017 Asia-Pacific In2 SABRE Awards, which recognize insight and innovation and focus on content creation across earned, paid, owned and shared media, from live events to digital newsrooms.
Ogilvy was nominated nine times, and won two trophies (one for its Howorth subsidiary in Australia), ahead of Weber Shandwick (seven nominations) and Edelman (six nominations—and Edelman was the only other firm to take home two trophies.
Other firms with multiple nominations included Dentsu and Ruder Finn (four each); Adfactors, Allison+Partners, GoodIdea Media, Hill+Knowlton Strategies, and simpleshow Japan (three each). Fifteen different agencies will take home trophies from the competition.
“We are seeing more entries than ever in the innovation categories, and better quality of work from across the region,” says Paul Holmes, who chaired the SABRE judges. “There is great work coming out of the digital and content creation operations of multinational firms, but also from a number of highly creative local agencies, and while China and India continue to produce impressive work, smaller markets such as Sri Lanka and Myanmar are also capable of creative excellence.”
A complete list of winners and certificate of excellence honorees can be found here.
The In2 SABREs will be presented during the In2 Innovation Summit Asia-Pacific, which takes place at the JW Marriott in Hong Kong and September 14. Tickets for the Summit—and for the SABRE Awards dinner that takes place on the same day—can be reserved now.
