NEW YORK--Ogilvy Public Relations has made three new hires to its New York office, following a spate of departures from the firm’s consumer practice in the city.

The agency has named Parris Bowe as SVP and David Hanon as VP in its New York consumer marketing practice. Bowe joins from Lippe Taylor, and reports to practice director and EVP Alyssa Garnick, who joined the firm in January from Ketchum.

Garnick’s arrival followed the departures of her predecessor Eric Slutsky and North America consumer EVP Bill Reihl. Other New York executives who have left are media relations SVP Mark O’Connor, SVP Denise Vitola and VP Nicole Lowe.

All of the departures came after Samantha Allen (pictured) relocated from Ogilvy’s Australian operations to head its global consumer practice in mid-2010.

Hanon joins from Waggener Edstrom as a VP in the consumer practice. In addition, the firm has appointed Ryan Aynes to the role of VP in its New York digital influence group.
