BERLIN — Edelman has shifted Rob Holdheim into a new role as MD of corporate across Europe.

Holdheim relocates from Asia, where he spent the past eight years, most recently as CEO of the firm's India, Middle East and African operations. Edelman global COO Matt Harrington noted earlier this year that the firm would effectively collapse its sub-regional leadership structure upon the departure of APACMEA CEO David Brain.

After rejoining Edelman New York in 2006 as SVP of its corporate communications group, Holdheim relocated to India in 2009, helping Edelman expand its Indian presence considerably before taking on a similar remit across the Middle East and Africa.

His move to Germany sees him return to the country where he began his Edelman career in 1991. Reporting to Edelman Europe CEO Carol Potter, Holdheim is tasked with modernising the firm's reputation offering across regional markets.

He will also work with global vice-chair Michael Stewart to develop a C-suite focused advisory offering.

"Having worked with Rob in my previous role in APACMEA I have huge respect for his wisdom and his effectiveness in helping us to modernise our core capabilities," said Potter. "I am so delighted that his considerable experience can be brought to bear in Europe."
