SAN FRANCISCO — Robert Holdheim has departed Edelman following a 26-year association with the firm that he joined in 1991, joining tech company Engineer.ai as its chief business officer.

After rejoining Edelman New York in 2006 as SVP of its corporate communications group, Holdheim relocated to India in 2009, helping Edelman expand its Indian presence considerably before taking on a similar remit across the Middle East and Africa.

One year ago, Holdheim moved to Berlin to become MD of corporate reputation. His role at Edelman will not be replaced, said an agency spokesperson.  “We are grateful to Rob for everything he did in service of our clients and the firm during his time here,” the rep said.

At Engineer.ai, Holdheim reunites with president/COO Varghese Cherian, a former senior executive from Edelman. Holdheim is based in San Francisco.

Engineer.ai allows clients to custom build their own tech products by selecting from components the company has built.
