NEW YORK—Ruder Finn has elevated Rachel Spielman (pictured) to a new role as executive vice president, storytelling and media, and hired Keith Hughes as EVP and head of the US corporate practice.

Hughes comes to Ruder Finn from Burson-Marsteller, where he most recently served as managing director and consumer bank account director on the Bank of America account. Prior to this, he spent nearly 10 years at MSL as senior VP and director of the North American consumer practice and as a senior manager for Pepsi-Cola International.

His earlier experience includes senior leadership roles at Fleishman-Hillard, Ketchum and Marina Maher Communications.

Spielman, who has spearheaded growth of the firm’s corporate practice over the last 16 years, takes on a newly formalized role leading storytelling and media. She will work across the agency to help mine for client stories and work with teams to help bring these stories to life across traditional and new media. She will also continue to lead her existing client accounts.
