LONDON—The Rugby Football League (RFL) has called in Threepipe to handle digital advertising duties, as it attempts to step up ticket sales across multiple events.

The governing body for rugby league in England has tasked Threepipe with implementing a multichannel advertising campaign that includes display, video and paid search. The latest effort is timed with the launch of the 2015 First Utility Super League season which kicked off this week, with Threepipe supporting the opening game last week.

“Threepipe has impressed us with the team’s industry knowledge, data-led approach, attention to detail and enthusiasm," said RFL marketing director Mark Foster. "We’ve been encouraged by the speed at which Threepipe has understood our marketing campaigns, the efficiency of the team’s work and ability to measure ROI. It’s given us the confidence to work on multiple campaigns including the launch of the First Utility Super League season."

The RFL administers the England Rugby League team, the Ladbrokes Challenge Cup, First Utility Super League and the Kingstone Press Championship and League 1 competitions, as well as a thriving game at community level.

"Their willingness to invest in digital advertising is providing them with strong returns and also offers unparalleled insights into their online customer base," said Farhad Koodoruth, co-founder of Threepipe.
