NEW YORK, July 5—Bob Rickenbach, formerly a managing director at Burson-Marsteller, has joined international technology specialist Text 100 International as general manager of its New York office. He will be responsible for growing the office into an east coast hub for Text 100, a U.K.-based firm with its U.S. headquarters in San Francisco.

Ricknebach, whose most recent position was as president and COO of education startup QualKids, replaces Virginia Cartwright, who left Text 100 in March to become head of the international technology practice at Manning Selvage & Lee.

Since opening last fall, Text 100 New York has landed high profile assignments for clients such as Deutsche Bank eVentures and the MIT Sloan eBusiness Awards, while also servicing several of the agency’s multi-national accounts including BEA Systems and SGI.

SAN FRANCISCO—Brio Technology, a leading provider of business intelligence and analytic solutions, has selected Text 100 for ongoing corporate and product public relations counsel throughout Asia Pacific, EMEA and the U.S. Over the past year, Text 100 has supported Brio with integrated PR services in the Asia Pacific region.  Stacy Breines, senior account director in the firm’s San Francisco office, will manage the account.
