PISCATAWAY, NJ — Toshiba has expanded its relationship with Ketchum, adding its corporate social responsibility work to the agency’s roster.
It is understood that Toshiba has tapped Ketchum for the six-figure business that includes its social responsibility and environmental activities. Already, Ketchum works on Toshiba America Medical Systems that includes its MRI, ultrasound, CT scanner and X-ray equipment.
As part of its CSR initiatives, Toshiba supports a number of US programs aimed at turning young people on to math and science with its ExploraVision program. The company has also been recognized by the Dow Jones Sustainability Index for a number of years, but recently faced some backlash from Greenpeace when the organization dropped Toshiba to number 15 in its 2012 Guide to Greener Electronics.
Access Communications, Ketchum’s wholly-owned tech firm, has retained Toshiba’s seven-figure TAIS business since 2008 that includes its laptops, TVs, DVD players and camcorders.
